I have been in numismatics for over 35 years. My husband and I purchased an existing Stamp Store in 1977 in Junction City, KS. In 1983, we moved our store to Jacksonville, FL. In 1992, we sold all of inventory and went to work for another coin dealer. In 2003, I decided it was time to retire or semi-retire and quit working full time.
My husband and I enjoy the freedom and travel to many shows throughout the Southeast. I collect silver art bars and rounds with themes of Trains, Christmas and Valentines 1974. My husband and I still deal in silver art bars and key date and semi-key date coins for the collector.
I am currently the Parliamentarian of WIN. I am a life member of FUN and am the current Treasurer. Carrie was co-editor of FUNTopics for 15 years. She is also the Secretary/Treasurer and Editor of International Association of Silver Art Collectors (IASAC).
For fun and recreation, we like to go to Missouri to our little cabin on a fishing lake to get away from all the hubbub of the industry, buying and selling of coins.
I feel that the future of Numismatics is dependent upon the youth keeping their interest in our industry. The way to do this is to educate them about the hobby and keep them active in the numismatic field.
I am proud to be one of the many women in this numismatic world.
